4 x Hot Cross Buns

Traditional spiced luxury buns marked with a cross, popular in the UK on Good Friday. Lydia's are tastier than any you are likely to find in any UK supermarket (believe us, we've tried most of them!). The flavour is much enhanced by using home-made candied peel and stem ginger in addition to the usual mixture of spices

Delicious fresh or lightly toasted and generously slathered with good butter. They freeze well for Good Friday if you can wait that long

Ingredients: organic stone-ground white wheat flour, free range eggs, SAF gold instant yeast, sugar, salt, water, unsalted butter, whole milk, sultanas, mixed fruit peel, orange zest, stem ginger, ground cinnamon, and apricot jam or honey for the glaze
